As President of Consumer Information Services (CIS), Steve Wagner is the business leader for all aspects of Experian's consumer credit activities in the b-to-b marketplace. CIS delivers market leading consumer credit solutions using our data-base of over 250 million American consumers. We deploy solutions from this core data asset to assist our clients with prospecting and acquiring new customers, managing their current customer portfolio including cross-selling and up-selling to increase revenue and customer collections. Our clients include over 20,000 banks, credit unions, mortgage lenders, card companies, mortgage brokers, investment banks, government agencies and other participants in the U.S. credit markets including virtually all major lending institutions in the United States.
Steve joined Experian in 2005. Over the course of his first three years with Experian, his role expanded to cover many aspects of the operations of CIS as well as the broader Credit Services and Decision Analytics group. He had principal responsibility for sales operations, delivery operations for all batch data, data-feed and daily trigger processes, revenue management operations, contacts and transactional pricing. In addition, he led the Group's strategic alliance and vendor management efforts.
Prior to joining Experian, Steve was the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel for ERisk, a risk capital management company based in New York and now part of the Sunguard group of businesses. Before that, Steve practiced law with Clifford Chance in both the U.S. and U.K., working on capital market transactions throughout Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Steve graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, holds a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law, and is admitted to practice law in New York.
