Experian and Oliver Wyman have developed Market Intelligence Reports to broaden the use of credit bureau data, which until now have primarily been used for customer-level decision making. Our aggregated analyses and insights prepare the data for more expansive strategic uses and critical decisions:
The full line of Experian-Oliver Wyman Market Intelligence Reports includes:
The Quarterly Market Intelligence Reports grant subscribers timely access to ongoing trends of the consumer credit industry dating back to 2006, and with vintage-specific trends dating back to 2002. The reports, which are based on representative samples from Experian's consumer credit databases are analyzed by a joint team from both Experian and Oliver Wyman to eliminate the complexities of working with large volumes of credit bureau data. Instead, subscribers receive the benefit of only the most current and relevant information in an easy-to-understand format.
Our team of analysts has also pioneered the use of credit bureau data to create vintage curves, allowing clients the unique opportunity to track same-consumer performance over time and to compare the behavior of loans originated in different periods.
The Quarterly Market Intelligence Reports are available on an individual product basis or in a discounted multi-product subscription. A Peer Benchmarking option with custom-tailored peer groups is also available.

For clients who require comparisons of their institution's data to a specific peer group in addition to the overall industry, Experian and Oliver Wyman offer Market Intelligence Reports with Peer Benchmarking. Subscribers to this service will receive detailed analyses of their institution's data (as reported to Experian) compared against a custom-tailored peer group of at least five other institutions (reported in aggregate to preserve anonymity). The comparison metrics will be derived from a subset of metrics included in the standard recurring Market Intelligence Reports.
Please contact us to request more information about this option.
In addition to the Market Intelligence Reports, Experian-Oliver Wyman will publish periodic reports throughout the year featuring pertinent analysis and commentary on key issues facing the consumer credit industry. These reports will provide new data-based insights and highlight industry implications for our clients. Subscribers of Quarterly Market Intelligence Reports will receive these periodic publications at no additional cost.
